Exmoor ‘Amy Louise’

Amy Louise, the last of our four Exmoor locomotive based at the BMR, was built by Exmoor Locomotive Works in 2004. She was originally intended for the now closed Hills Miniature Railway, but due to her not being ready fellow Exmoor ‘Jean’ was temporarily loaned until Amy Louise was ready.
Upon closure of the Hills Miniature Railway, ‘Amy Louise’ moved to Brookside Miniature Railway, being based there with fellow Exmoors ‘Jean’ and ‘Jeremy’. And when the Brookside Railway closed in 2018 she went on her travels again, briefly appearing at the Crogga Valley Railway before being offered for sale by The Steam Workshop. Eventually purchased by a private member for use on the Barnards Miniature Railway.
After some maintenance (and work being concentrated on bigger projects at the time), she was made available for service by the BMR and has been in service ever since.
